Fuorisalone 2021: exhibition & live online talks

We can finally reveal all the details of “SUSTAINABILITY PAINTS THE WORLD”.


Sustainability has always been an underlying product and process philosophy of our business. We will present our concrete application of sustainability alongside two exceptional partners: One Works and Plinio il Giovane.

September will see Milan at the center of attention for sustainability and sustainable development, and our message will lead the way.

The concept

“SUSTAINABILITY PAINTS THE WORLD” is an event/experience that bridges actions and ideas, production and philosophy.

We have interpreted sustainability through a “palette of colors”, where every nuance counts, every increment makes a difference.

We have drawn inspiration from the palette of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals of the Agenda 2030 global strategy.

For each goal, we will offer a point for reflection drawn from the thoughts of women and men who directly engage with the possibility to translate these great ideals into reality in their respective fields on a daily basis. 17 little seeds for ideas to take root in the mind, before we return to our hectic daily lives.

The exhibition: One Chair, One Goal

We live our lives always on the go. We choose, produce and consume almost without stopping to reflect on the significance of our actions. Without considering their impact on others and on the planet.

This is why, in the wonderful atmosphere of Fuorisalone 2021, we wanted to create a space that allows us to pause for a moment, to refresh our ideas and broaden our horizons.

We will use our colors on 17 Plinio il Giovane chairs, presented in a special display in the One Works spaces. (c/o OneWorks Headquarter – via A. Sciesa, 3 - Milano)

Each chair will have its own color, and each color will have its own “theme” based on the different Sustainable Development Goals of Agenda 2030.

A narrative will guide visitors and invite them to “take a seat” on the various colored chairs, where they will find information explaining the choice of color, the UN commitment for that theme, and the daily actions that we can take to play our part.

Live talks

The One Works headquarters will host four live talks, each presented by key figures for the different Goals on which ICA Group’s sustainability commitment will focus.
