NCS 2023: KIDULTZ | joyful colors inspired by the virtual world

Interior Colour Trends 2023+ is the latest collection of colors from the internationally renowned color experts at NCS. Color trends are cyclical but also impacted by many different external factors. Color has a psychological value and studying trends means understanding how color use evolves.

An array of bold colors featuring warm and joyful tones is presented with the four new NCS trends for interiors and furnishings:
-    Cocooning | a warm and comfy room
-    Passages | colors of nature
-    Re-Genesis | the beauty of contrast
-    Kidultz | joyful colors inspired by the virtual world

With Kidultz, we clearly see color reclaim its central role in interior design. Here, neutral and white tones disappear, unable to express more intense emotions. The life of Generation Z, split between the digital and physical worlds, is expressed chromatically with unusual tones: flashes of pink and mint green that contrast with ultramarine blue and orange to create a sense of life within a metaverse.

The colors in this trend have already been formulated by our color specialists for the design of surfaces and materials. They are included in the ICA Color tintometric system.
